The Expansion Exterior is Complete

With the successful completion of the building exterior, a strong foundation is now in place for the next chapter of the Winspear Centre expansion. We’re grateful to Clark Builders for the expertise and quality craftsmanship they brought to the project—a contribution that's an important part of the Winspear’s legacy.

As one phase comes to a close, another begins. The Winspear expansion is moving ahead, and now we’re shifting our focus to the interior. We’re thrilled to officially introduce Ledcor, the builder who will transform these stunning designs into reality.

Founded in Leduc, Alberta, over the past 75 years Ledcor has grown from a small-town builder into one of North America’s most diverse and respected construction groups. With experience that includes major entertainment centres, they bring the skill and expertise required to help bring these spaces to life. This next phase of the Winspear Expansion is all about the details, the finishes, the atmosphere, the space where people will experience first-hand what a word-class music centre has to offer. We can already picture the moment the Music Box hosts its first performers, and when the new community spaces open their doors to welcome the everyone inside.

Our expansion is scheduled to open in Fall 2027.
